April Fool's Lightning

This is the lightning I captured on April Fool's night in Penang, Malaysia. I chose this unusual color because it makes this picture stand out more.

Pumpkin Soup

The weather in Switzerland is starting to get cooler, but this delicious pumpkin soup really warmed me up.

I'm 40 years old

The restaurant here is a very friendly and cozy place that is still run the old fashioned way. Here is a picture of the the original cash register that is still being used today, by the owner and his wife.

Caruso the owner...

This is a picture of the owner, Caruso. He does not speak English, but he communicates with his friendly smile and hearty laugh. A very nice man.

The Place Where I Sat

This is the dining room of the restaurant in Lugano, where I ate most of my meals. It was my home away from home.

FOOD

GLAZED BBQ BEEF RIBS

King sized meal for a King sized appetite. BBQ Glazed Ribs, grilled pineapple slice and fried onions rings with Jack Daniel's dipping sauce.

BRATWURST

Just as rice is a staple in the Asian diet, wurst (German for sausage) is a staple in German, Austria and Switzerland. This is an example of a large sausage called Bratwurst.

ESCARGOT

These snails may not look very good but they're delicious.
ESCARGOT- Is the French word for snails. The gourmet never orders snails, he orders Escargot.

MY FRIEND - BIZZA'S RECIPE

BBQ LAMB
When I was in Switzerland, my friend BBQ'd lamb in his patio. We had this together with Indian rice, green peas and red wine. For dessert we had tiramisu ice cream and unfortunately I don't have the picture to share with you all because I was drunk.

I shot this in Ponte Tresa, Italy. These flowers are all over the ground.I found one flower that was a different color, so I named this photo "Why I'm different."

I took this in Lugano lake, one of the places you need to visit, when you are in Lugano, Switzerland.. A lot of people like to hang around here. It's a bright day with cold temperature.

Ford 1956 Thunderbird Classic

This is my first time to sit in a classic car like this. It's a huge car with bucket seats. I can't believe that finally I have a chance to sit in a classic car in Lugano, Switzerland. This 1956 Ford Thunderbird was the first car which had 2 seats like this.

Dying

This photo was taken with my wide angle lens. In this photo you can see lots of noises, i shot this in bright daylight with ISO 1600 and then used APCS3 converted to black & white and added more noise. It's a paddy field shot in black & white.

This photo taken at Borders Starbucks, Queensbay Mall, Penang. This photo can tell, Borders Strabucks have good business on that day.

For me, this photo is like a magazine front page cover. I love this photo very much and this was another blind shot.

TAR ROAD

I took this photo with my SIGMA 10-20mm Ultra Wide Angle Lens. Actually this was a blind shot because I just place my DSLR camera on the road and surprisingly I got a nice shot.

SUNSET

This was my first sunset shot. This shot was taken early in the morning at Gurney, Penang. I'm using a Nikon 18-55mm Lens + Manfrotto Tripod 190XPROB to shoot this shot. For a better quality view please click on the photo to enlarge.

ALONE

This photo was taken during a outing in Sungai Burung. Sungai Burung means Bird River in English, but I did not see any birds there. While I was walking back to my arriving point I saw this empty snail shell beside the road, so I shot it.

BUKIT HIJAU, KEDAH, MALAYSIA

Ansel Adams was one of the professional photographers whom I admired. I love his black & white artwork. For that reason I would like to shoot in black and white as well as color. This is one of my black and white collections to share it here.

This photo was taken by a Nikon 105mm VR Marco Lens. This was the first photo I shot using a Nikon 105mm VR Marco Lens.

Bukit Hijau Waterfall, KEDAH. Bukit Hijau also known as Bukit Hijau Recreational Park is located in Kedah State. There are many attractive waterfalls there, which are rarely seen in Malaysia. Crystal Lights in hotel lobby. Arrived at the hotel earlier and captured this Crystal Lights which attracted my eyes.

PROTECTING YOU WHILE YOU SLEEP

Another shot from the same hotel where I took "Hotel Air-Condtioner Cover" photo. Most of my friends used the bathroom break for smoking but for me I prefer to use it for my photography so I carried my DSLR along with me wherever I go.

HOTEL AIR-CONDITIONER COVER

This photo also was taken during my company teambuilding in one of the hotels in Penang. I love photography so much that with no doubts I used my 5 minute bathroom break to snap this cover. I try to make this shot to look like a painting by using Adobe Photoshop CS3.
